Head Start and Early Head Start have free programs that offer classroom sessions, home visits, nutritious meals and snacks, and fun family activities for children ages birth to five and pregnant parents. Please bring the following: Past income for 12 months or 2011 Tax Return, Child's Birth Certificate, and Child's Shot Record. Open house held at BiCAP Head Start Building, 1601 Conifer Ave, Bemidji. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a series of classes designed to empower family caregivers of older adults to take better care of themselves. The “tools” learned in the six week series benefit caregivers by helping them reduce stress, improve caregiving confidence, establish balance in their lives, communicate their needs, make tough decisions and locate helpful resources. The next set of classes (hosted by Northwoods Caregivers) will be held on Tuesdays (May 29 - July 3) from 10:30am-12:00pm...

Family Toy Box is a great opportunity for families with children ages two to five. This program supports families by offering ways to enhance communication and improve relationships using play. It is also FREE. Meals and childcare will be provided. Transportation can be arranged if needed. Family Toy Box will be held at Sanford Pediatric Clinic (1611 Anne St) on Mondays
