Our mission is to provide emergency food to families or individuals who have short-term, emergency food needs. Service is provided to residents of Clearwater County and areas of the sponsoring churches after all other possible means have been exhausted to obtain food.

The Bagley Senior Center’s activities include: Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, Consignment Craft Room, Thrift Store, Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors, and Yarn Group (1st and 3rd Tuesday from 9:30am – 12:30pm)

Housing owned and operated by a local government entity, such as a Public Housing Agency or a Housing Authority, which provides low-rent affordable housing to households with low incomes who are eligible.

The Clearwater Day Activity Center focuses on each individual’s needs to develop a specialized program in the areas of Home Living, Community Integration, Employment, and Independence. With one-on-one and group-centered training, those that attend the Clearwater DAC become more independent in daily living skills, are better able to contribute and interact within their community, and build lasting relationships through outside employment and group activities.
The participants at the Clearwater DAC enjoy a variety of activities from shopping, picnics at the park, bowling, and Special Olympics to family outings and real-life jobs within the area. Each activity promotes their individuality and the DAC’s mission to see these persons succeed on a daily basis with the skills they learn to thrive in every day life.

Minnesota’s Personal Care Assistance program is designed to support people of all ages with disabilities to live independently in the community. Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) provide services to people who need help with activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living and health-related functions. PCAs also provide hands on assistance, supervision, redirection and intervention for behavior including observation and monitoring.
A PCA may assist the person with the following ADLs:
- Dressing – Application of clothing and special appliances or wraps.
- Grooming – Basic hair care, oral cares, shaving, basic nail care, applying cosmetics and deodorant, care of eyeglasses and hearing aids.
- Bathing – Basic personal hygiene and skin care.
- Eating – Completing the process of eating including application of orthotics required for eating, hand washing and transfers.

Clear Waters Life Center (CWLC) is a multi-faceted 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with two locations in Northern Minnesota. We provide a variety of free and low cost services through four programs and five businesses. Our nonprofit businesses provide vocational training for our MSH residents volunteer opportunities and quality, affordable, and used merchandise to our customers.
Our community based programs focuses on helping youth, seniors, and addiction recovering men by building lives, growing relationships, and imparting hope.
Mustard Seed Homes (MSH) is a recovery and aftercare residential program for adult men providing support groups, vocational and life skills training, and steps to developing a healthy spiritual and physical life. As an outreach ministry of Clear Waters Life Center, MSH is a faith-based, 12-month, residential men’s program that provides training in a safe environment, to maintain sobriety, stabilize mental health, and transition to independence. We focus on development in two areas: life skills and vocational/occupational training. Life skills include budgeting, planning and preparing nutritious meals, time management, and personal health through exercise. Vocational and occupational training included 2-5 hours of adult education weekly, experience in building construction, using a commercial kitchen, furniture repair, janitorial services, helping in a greenhouse and garden center, and retail.
MSH is funded in part with housing support and supportive services from the department of human services. Applicants who meet DHS requirements can complete this program with no personal costs.

Youth Connection is an afterschool youth program that provides a safe place for play, mentoring, leadership training, and family and community connections. We focus on three things: creativity, being active, and teaching and embodying our core values of honor, respect, teamwork, relationships, encouragement, faith, and safety. We offer programing for 3rd – 5th graders and 6th – 12th graders.
Senior Services include transportation services, homemaking and chore services for clearwater county residents who are 60+ years old.

We have two art studios in our Gonvick facility: pottery and mosaic. All ages are welcome and all supplies are provided. Cost is $5 a day, memberships available, varies classes are held throughout the year ranging from painting to welding.
CWLC hosts Celebrate Recovery meetings throughout the year. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. It is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling your life.
CWLC offers counseling services in a variety of areas for all ages. Appointments required, call ahead to schedule.
Adult basic education is offered Tuesdays 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Wednesday 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. at our Clearbrook location. We believe that education never goes out of style. Our offering are designed to meet you where you are. This is a free service, call ahead to set up your individualized training.
Shop at the Top is our volunteer operated thrift store in Clearbrook where we sell clothing for the whole family as well as home goods, games, pet supplies, books, small appliances, and knick-knacks. The proceeds from Shop at the Top goes to maintaining our buildings. We are always interested in volunteers, you can call our office or stop in to get more information. We take donations during business hours. Located on the 3rd Floor of Clearbrook site. Hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Restore It! is our used furniture shop in Clearbrook, as well as, custom furniture crafting and restoration business. Our MSH residents learn life and vocational skills by creating custom furniture pieces and restoring furniture. We take donations during business hours. Located on the 3rd Floor of Clearbrook site. Hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Grow It! our greenhouse and garden center in Gonvick. We grow many varieties of flowers and vegetables starting mid-May to early July. If you need help putting planters together, we also provide commission planting services.
Fitness in Clearbrook is a weight room and gym. Membership fees are low and help us maintain the equipment.
