CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CCAP)
Child care assistance is available to parents who are receiving assistance under the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and parents whose income is at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty guideline and are in an approved activity. It is important for parents to know their child is well-cared for while they are at work, looking for work, obtaining training or going to school in order to secure employment. Application is required to have eligibility determined. CCAP may not cover all child care costs. Parental amounts depend on the family’s income, the number of people in the family, and how much the child care provider charges. The goal is to assist the family to maintain employment and gain self-sufficiency.
CHILD SUPPORT
Every child needs financial and emotional support and every child has the right to support from both parents. Minnesota’s child support program benefits children by enforcing parental responsibility for child support.
Either parent of a child may apply or qualify for certain support services from the Child Support Unit. Depending on the circumstances associated with the case, there may be fees assessed for collection unless the applicant receives public assistance (Minnesota Family Investment Program, Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, or Childcare Assistance.)

About Us
Since our beginning in 2021, Bemidji Pride has been a volunteer-led organization committed to creating a safe and fun environment for the Bemidji community to come together and celebrate diversity.
Now a 501c3 Nonprofit, we aim to continue supporting and uplifting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
MISSION & VISION:
Mission Statement: Bemidji Pride is dedicated to sponsoring, supporting, and producing events that cultivate hope and provide support for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults. Our commitment extends to educating the community about 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and collaborating with allied individuals and organizations to foster growth. Together, we strive to propel equity and justice, particularly among marginalized groups in Bemidji, Beltrami County, and the Tri Reservation areas of Red Lake, Leech Lake, and White Earth Reservations.
Vision Statement: Bemidji Pride envisions a world where 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals are not just tolerated but are genuinely respected, defended, valued, celebrated, and LIBERATED! We aspire to create a space where the voices of all people, especially those too often excluded from the Pride movement, are not only acknowledged but elevated—this includes a steadfast commitment to the BIPOC Trans community, and all other voices usually ignored. Our vision extends beyond acceptance and strives for a global community that actively embraces and cherishes diversity, fostering an environment where every voice is heard, and every identity is celebrated.
