We currently offer rental assistance for individuals and families who have experienced a recent crisis that has impacted their ability to maintain housing. We also offer HeatShare assistance, which helps with the utility bill for the service that heats a client’s home, when a qualifying crisis has caused financial hardship. All programs are subject to funding availability.
For both programs, clients must meet the following basic requirements:
• The household must have experienced a recent crisis that directly contributed to their need.
• The household must have applied for Emergency Assistance through the county and received a response.
• The household must have applied to their local Community Action Partnership and received a response.
• The household must have verifiable income showing they will be able to maintain their housing or utilities moving forward after assistance is provided.
We also have limited gas card assistance available for clients who can provide documentation showing they have a necessary appointment they need to travel to, such as a medical or employment-related appointment.
If you have any questions about eligibility or referrals, please feel free to reach out. We appreciate the work you do supporting individuals and families in our communities.

Our Mission
The mission of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Housing Authority is to develop affordable homes and housing opportunities for all Native American families on the Leech Lake Reservation, to provide efficient/sensitive services that lead to self-sufficient tenant/home owners and healthy safe communities.
History
The Leech Lake Housing Authority was formed by the Leech Lake Reservation Business Committee on September 1, 1963 (Ordinance 63-01) and has been in existence for over 50 years. The formation of a Housing Authority and an independent Board of Commissioners, consisting of six Band Members is a requirement to enter into funding contracts through the U.S. Department of Urban Development.
Our first development projects were built in 1964-1966, which consisted of 105 rental and Mutual Help home ownership units. Since the first years of development to the present the Housing Authority has built and/or purchased nearly 600 homes within the reservation boundaries.
Equal opportunity housing, open to the public.

Our Mission
We connect people, businesses, and communities through local groundwater education and action, making us all part of the solution for clean, sustainable, groundwater.
Our Vision
A network of people, businesses, and communities proactively protecting groundwater for sustainable use today and tomorrow.
All About Water Well Wish
Welcome to Water Well Wish, where we believe that clean water is a fundamental right. Join our mission to provide life’s most basic need – clean, safe drinking water – to families and communities in need. Lack of access to healthy drinking water can reduce life expectancy by up to 20 years. Together, we can make a significant impact and bring hope and health to those without access to this essential resource.
Your donations will directly fund the construction of water wells in underserved areas within the United States. You’ll receive regular updates on the wells you helped build and the lives you’ve transformed.
Our mission will not end until every American has access to clean, safe water. Each water well represents a life-changing gift for the people and families it serves. Since the inception of the program in August of 2023, we’ve already completed wells for 21 families, and 8 more are on the way, and every day we receive more and more applications, creating a current backlog of multiple families in desperate need and waiting.
Our Work
Talent is equally distributed across the U.S and opportunity is not. We’re on a mission to change that.
Communities Unlimited connects rural Americans to solutions that sustain healthy businesses, healthy communities, and healthy lives. We believe that access to opportunities should not depend on where you live, how much you have in the bank, or what you look like.
We take a holistic approach to economic development combining human connection with technology and expertise to foster self-reliance and economic impact for people and communities through 5 main program areas:
Entrepreneurship
Working one on one with small business owners to build wealth and grow their business
Community Infrastructure
Managerial, technical, and financial assistance for water/wastewater systems
Housing

Lending
