Evergreen Youth & Family Services is a community-based organization committed to strengthening youth, preserving families, and building relationships with an emphasis on those living in Northern Minnesota. Evergreen serves youth experiencing homelessness, runaways, and families in crisis by providing housing resources, youth crisis shelter, food & clothing, hot lunches 5 days/week, referrals, family support & parent coaching, mental health support, independent living skills, referrals to other community resources and more.
All services are open to adults 18 years old or older who have a long-term severe and persistent mental illness. Services include Adult Rehabilitation, Mental Health Services (ARMHS). Outreach, diagnostic assessments, medication reviews with a psychiatrist, after-hours emergency help, nurse visits, community/public education, phone contact, social and recreational activities in a drop-in center and off-site client employment help, and the REACH family support group.
Training and support for adults with developmental disabilities in all areas of living.
Community Mental Health Center:
Provide psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children as well as Psychological evaluations. Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Service (ARMHS), Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) and Care Coordinators to assist with intakes
Substance Use Disorder (SUD):
Individual and group outpatient services for youth and adults; including Comprehensive Assessments.
Foster Care and Adoption:
Supporting adoptive parents with the matching process through finalization of a special needs child. Professional foster care for youth ages 0-21- and 24-hour case management services. Families must meet MN DHS requirements to become a licensed provider.
Winnie Way:
Therapeutic transitional living program, providing support to adolescent girls who have been sexually exploited and/or trafficked. Serves girls ages 16-21. Programming is client-centered approach and trauma-informed care model. Residents receive services tailored to their individual needs and treatment goals. Contact: Colbi Ikola @ 218-820-0121
Hawkins Home:
Transitional living program for girls ages 16-21. This home offers supportive and structured living environment with a focus on building the skills and competencies necessary for a successful transition into young adulthood. Offering a variety of mental health services including services for infants, children, teen and families. Children’s Crisis, CTSS In-Home Services, School Based Interventionist, Bemidji Outpatient Services, School Based Mental Health Services, Early Childhood Mental Health Services.
SERVICES PROVIDED: Rule 25 assessments, classroom curriculum, Red Cliff, Protecting you, protecting me. Family prevention with the traditional based program, Bii-zin-da-de-dah. Youth recreational activities, also community based prevention activities.
Disability Hub MN offers information about community resources related to people with disabilities, including housing, home and community-based services, and disability and cash benefits. This statewide service is a ‘no wrong door’ information and referral service for people with disabilities, their families, and support team. The Hub is available Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to provide one-to-one assistance to help people learn about their options and connect with the supports and services they choose.

Bemidji Area Program for Recovery
(BAPR) is designed to help individuals experiencing difficulty in their lives due
to substance abuse and dependence. Education for domestic violence offenders as well as anger management for adults and juveniles.
Our services address single and multiple substance abuse problems and related mental health concerns.

The Student Center for Health and Counseling is a comprehensive and integrated health care facility that includes both health and counseling services. We provide college students with access to primary health care, ongoing health maintenance, information about health and disease prevention, individualized personal counseling, group therapy, and a host of outreach health education programs. We also provide an integrated approach toward health care that meets individual needs of BSU & NTC students. Available to students enrolled at BSU or NTC.

Eagle Vista Ranch offers Equine Assisted Psychotherapy(EAP) and coaching to individuals, families, and groups. Liz Letson, MS, LPC, is a mental health professional, EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist, E3A Advanced Certification holder, and owner of Eagle Vista Ranch. Liz and another EAP/EAL professional team up to provide equine learning and psychotherapy to youth and adults who are seeking help with various mental health and life transition issues. Our team can assist you over the phone, at your residence, in the hospital – wherever you may be located. We are a local team here to assist you.
